11th Nándor Wagner Prize

Presentation of Nandor Wagner Prizes on 20th of April was one of the events of the University Days at Partium Christian University in Oradea (Nagyvarad), Romania.

The topic for the competition was to design a medal to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the foundation of Sulyok István high school and 15th anniversary of the foundation Partium Christian University. All competing pieces were exhibited at the newly opened Gallery of Art Department.

This event was crowned by Mr. Vilmos Meleg actor who recited poems of Csokonai Vitéz MihályHorváth Imre and Babits Mihály. He just celebrated his 60th birthday and was decorated by the Hungarian Knowledge - Hungarian Mastery award. The medal and certificate of merit was presented by Mr. István Pintér president of the Foundation of the Partium Christian University.

8th Nándor Wagner Prize

This year's competition theme was stamp design showing the Hungarian Saints. Our competition has joined the events marking the St. Stephen Memorial Year in 2013. Among the Hungarian Saints King Ladislaus was strongly connected to Nagyvárad (Oradea). He was buried first in the Abbey of Somogyvár and later his remains were transferred to Minstrel of Nagyvárad, which he had founded.The students of graphic art at the Partium Christian University had a very strong competition as 51 students made entries, a new record.

At the eight competition for Nándor Wagner Prize the winners are: 1. Noémi Fazakas, 2. Attila Bende, 3. Szabolcs Zöld. Praiseworthy entries were made by: József Badon, Hédi Fekete, Márta Kubola, Roxana Nagy, Attila Sütő and Gréta Tusa.

7th Nándor Wagner Prize


18th of May - Nagyvárad, Oradea, Romania

The 7th Competition for Nándor Wagner Prize organized for art students of Partium Christian University was completed. The theme for this year's competition was Faces. 28 entries were submitted.

6th Nándor Wagner Prize


This year's theme for competition theme was Castle of Nagyvárad (Oradea). At the sixth competition of the Partium Christian University for Wagner Nándor Prize the students of graphic art the winners are: 1. József Balázs, 2. Klaudia Kovács, 3. divided Nóra Lázár and Catalina Mos. Special recognition went to Noémi Fazekas.
The prizes were presented to the winners by Chiyo Wagner.

5th Nándor Wagner Prize

This year the Nándor Wagner Prizes were presented to the winners at the competition of the Partium Christian University in Nagyvárad (Oradea) for 5th occasion. At this competition both art students of graphics and video animation were submitting works. Topic: commemorating the 350th anniversary of passing away of Lórátffy Zsuzsanna.
Winners: student of graphics 1. Tamás Szőcs, 2. Nóra Lázár, 3. Attila Csiszer. Students of Video-animation: 1. Eszter Ary, Zsófia Berényi and Dánil Barta, 2. Vilmos Varga, Gábor Oros, Mátyás Szabó, Ágnes Gordán, Szilárd Postal, 3. Zsolt Hegedűs. Special prize: Dénes Sántha.
