Chiyo Wagner was awarded the Knight's Cross

 The President of the Republic of Hungary János Áder awarded Mrs. Wagner Chiyo the founding President of Academia Humana Foundation the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit. It was presented to her by H.E. Norbert Palanovics Ambassador of Republic of Hungary in Tokyo today.

This special event was also attended by President Koji Akiyama and Mr. Norihiro Katada of the Wagner Nándor Foundation.

for Mrs. Chiyo Wagner

The award document emphasized Mrs. Chiyo Wagner's outstanding role in the development of Hungarian-Japanese cultural relations and taking care of artistic estate of sculptor Nándor Wagner.

It is a great day both for Academia Humana Foundation in Budapest and Wagner Nándor Foundation in Mashiko as well.

Unveiling the statue Mother Earth


The ceremony was greeted by H.E. Tetsuo Ito Ambassador of Japan. He emphasized that the statue to be unveiled will be an attraction of the Buda Castle. After the great moment Zsuzsa Vámosi-Nagy played Telemann D-major flute fantasy. Dr. Gábor Tamás Nagy mayor of I. district in his speech pointed to the hidden message of Mother Earth, talked about Gaia and sculptor Nándor Wagner. Mr. Koji Akiyama President of Wagner Nandor Foundation in Japan thanked the place and highly appreciated the excellent carving of stone sculptor István Darányi . He also expressed his special thanks to Reneszánsz Zrt., Aspectus Architect Zrt. and Market Építő Zrt. for supporting and managing the project.
